The big end of the connecting rod<\/strong> <\/a>is re-bored and standard bore tolerance as specified in the manual is maintained. In case of small end, the bush is replaced by new one and re-bored to the standard size. Each connecting rod is subject to dimensional inspection and passes through the crack detection test by MPI. We don’t recommend repair of bend connecting rod or the connecting rods which has lost its alignment\/straightness.<\/p>\n

\n<\/span>RA Power Solutions provides new and remanufactured connecting rods for marine, diesel, and industrial engines. We have parts for the main engine builders, including MAN B&W, W\u00e4rtsil\u00e4, Sulzer, MAK, Daihatsu, Yanmar, Caterpillar, Mitsubishi, Deutz, Bergen, and many more.

2. How are reconditioned connecting rods inspected?<\/strong>
\n<\/span>Every remanufactured connecting rod is subject to a comprehensive quality inspection. The big end is bored out to standard specification, the small end bush is replaced and machined to the correct size, and the connecting rod is checked for dimensions and tested for cracks using MPI (magnetic particle inspection).<\/span><\/p>\n

3. Do you repair damaged connecting rods?<\/strong>
\n<\/span>Yes, RA Power Solutions<\/strong><\/a> fixes connecting rods with minor wear or damage. We don\u2019t advocate correcting bent or misaligned connecting rods, though, as this could compromise engine performance and reliability.<\/span><\/p>\n
